After 37 years, Peter May of UK MG competition engine specialists Peter May Engineering will hand over the reins of the business to Dominic Mooney, managing director of Midland Classic Restorations in a move that will secure the long term future of the well known engineering firm.

Originally the brainchild of Ian Williamson, and known as the International Historic Motorsport Show, 2002 saw the launch of the first exhibition dedicated solely to motorsport for historic cars. Staged at Stoneleigh Park in rural Warwickshire, Williamson inaugurated the International Historic Motor Sport Awards dinner, a live rally stage, partnered with auction house H&M and attracted a great cross section of organisers, suppliers and competitors to those early events. However, it was always thought by some to be located too remotely to ever attract a large, international, paying public.

In three short editions Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille has taken a place amongst the most prestigious of Concours d’Elegance. On the weekend of 3-4 September 13,500 visitors saw some of the world’s most rare and beautiful cars arranged on the majestic lawns of the Chateau de Chantilly.
