Cosworth DFV 50th

While the Cosworth company will be displaying engines and examples of DFV-powered cars at the Historic Motorsport International show as part of the 50 years of the Cosworth DFV celebrations, Mike Costin will be collaborating with the Donington Grand Prix collection to form a central display of Cosworth DFV-powered cars at Race Retro, the historic motorsport show held at Stoneleigh Park on 24-26 February.

The collection will include the Williams FW08 driven by Keke Rosberg to win the 1982 World Drivers’ Championship amongst others. Mike Costin will appear at the show to be interviewed on the Motor Sport Live Stage. “I am delighted to be involved in this display to mark the anniversary of the Cosworth DFV story,” said Costin. “I look forward to being reunited with some of the star cars of the past.”

Tom Kristensen will make his debut at the show this year, on Saturday 25th February, as part of the event’s 15th anniversary ‘Super Show’ celebrations.

The famous Danish driver, known as ‘Mr Le Mans’, will appear on the interview stage within the main sponsor Motor Sport Hall of Fame, to which he was inducted in 2013. He will also be meeting fans and signing autographs.

Race Retro will welcome motorsport industry traders including Demon Tweeks, Classic World Racing, Millers Oils, and the Vintage Sports Car Club.
